Aleks Zabreyko

Aleks is Partner and Head of Connor Group’s Professional Practice. Aleks has extensive hands-on US GAAP and IFRS experience advising clients and other Connor professionals in multiple complex areas, including revenue recognition, business acquisitions and dispositions, capital markets including IPO and cross-border transactions, stock compensation, inventories, complex financial instruments, SEC reporting and regulations; and various complex or unique transactions.

Over his career, Aleks has developed in-depth knowledge of issues affecting early and venture stage private and small and mid-size public companies in technology, software, cloud, virtual world, other services, biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.

Aleks also leads Connor Group client services related to adoption of new revenue recognition rules (ASC 606). He presents on various accounting issues at conferences, webinars and leads development of the firm’s accounting thought leadership content.

Aleks is a member of the Financial Reporting Committee (FRC) of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), a committee which brings accounting and regulatory issues to the attention of the FASB, SEC, IASC and other organizations and comments on the proposed new guidance and regulations. He is also a member of CalCPA’s Audit Practice and Accounting Standards committee.

Prior to joining Connor Group in 2009, Aleks spent 17 years with Ernst & Young audit practice. He is a Certified Public Accountant (California) and Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (the United Kingdom).

Brad Burch

Brad is a Director in Connor Group’s Technical Accounting and IPO Services practice.

Brad has 19+ years experience working with complex revenue recognition issues, including software and multiple-element arrangements, share-based compensation, inventory and related reserves, business combinations, restructuring liabilities, variable interest entities, unconsolidated entities, complex debt and equity arrangements, derivatives, financial statement preparation, and SEC reporting. Brad also has experience working with leases, fair value measurements, foreign currency translations, and investments.

Prior to working at Connor Group, Brad worked 14 years as an audit professional in public accounting firms, including 10 years at Ernst & Young in the Bay Area and Philadelphia, serving both multi-national and small companies in technology (software, software-as-a-service, and hardware), internet, and real estate sectors. In addition to his service as an audit professional, Brad worked for 3 years as a portfolio controller and senior accountant for two real estate companies.

Brad graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelors in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant in States of California and Texas.

Bree French

Bree is a Director in Connor Group’s Financial Operations team.  She has 12 years of advisory and audit experience related to systems, process and controls. Bree has deep expertise in SOX 404.  She has worked with High Tech organizations to assist them in IPO readiness efforts. 

Prior to joining Connor Group, Bree worked with PwC in their Risk Assurance practice, gaining experience in both the private and public sectors within various industries including tech, manufacturing, and non-profit.  Her experience was split between audit and advisory type services.  She previously led the audit assessment on integrated audits for Global 50 public accounts, including both business process, and information technology control assessments.  She also spent significant time performing process efficiency evaluation and remediation implementation as well as internal controls program build out.  Bree built and lead a number of internal controls related training sessions for both client and internal while at PwC.

Bree graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Widener University and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

Brooke Richards

Brooke is a Director in Connor Group’s Global Accounting Practice (professional practice). Brooke has significant experience and advises clients in areas such as stock compensation, defined benefit pension plans, earnings per share, debt/equity, derivatives, foreign currency, revenue, impairments, M&A buy and sell side transactions, and other. As a subject matter specialist in lease accounting, Brooke is also one of our key contributors to Connor Group’s thought leadership in the new lease accounting standard (ASC 842) released by the FASB in 2016.

Prior to joining Connor Group, Brooke worked over 8 years at American Express, where she was Vice President of Global Accounting Advisory and M&A Controller, and also led the project to implement the new lease accounting standard. Prior to American Express, Brooke worked for over 5 years at the FASB as a Project Manager of Standard Setting and Implementation Issues.

Brooke is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) where she participates on the Financial Reporting Committee (FRC) and in this role, regularly interacts with the FASB members and staff to provide input and industry feedback to the standard-setting activities.

Brooke is a Certified Public Accountant (Tennessee, inactive). She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tennessee Technological University with a BS and Master of Business Administration/Accounting.

Carolyn Garner

Chris LeFever

Chris is a Director in Connor Group’s Technical Accounting and IPO Services practice. Chris provides guidance and analysis on a variety of technical accounting issues, helps clients evaluate industry best practices, and assists in the implementation of process improvements. He has extensive experience with revenue recognition (including ASC 606/IFRS 15) and application of accounting guidance to both public and private companies in the technology and services industries.

Prior to joining Connor Group, Chris spent nine years working in senior finance roles at several technology companies. While in industry, Chris worked closely with senior executives and audit committee members on a variety technical accounting issues and business-related topics. Chris helped these companies ensure that the accounting was in compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations, while at the same time achieving efficient and scalable policies that aligned with corporate objectives. Before his time in industry, Chris started his career in the Assurance Practice at Ernst & Young’s San Jose office.

Chris is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California. He graduated valedictorian from San Joaquin College of Law with a JD and with honors from the California State University Fresno with a BS in Business Administration.

Connie Dias

Connie is a Partner in Connor Group’s Technical Accounting and IPO Services practice managing client engagements such as IPO readiness, the S-1 filing process, and assistance with clients’ financial statement audits, including providing assistance with technical accounting issues. She has experience in multiple industries, including biotech, technology and manufacturing.

Connie was an audit partner at Ernst & Young where she spent 20+ years leading IPO engagements, private and public company audits over financial statements and internal controls, and advising clients on various technical matters including revenue recognition.

Connie is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated from the University of Pacific with a degree in Business Administration, emphasis in Accounting.

Daryl Dobrenz

Daryl is a Managing Director at Connor Group, and head of the New York office.

He leads Connor Group Business Development activities for the East Coast, Europe and M&A, driving client engagement and geographic expansion across all of our service lines.

Daryl is an experienced Senior Finance and Corporate Business Development executive with previous leadership roles in M&A, Venture Investing, and Corporate Controllership areas. He has 20+ years of management experience in world class global high technology organizations (Oracle, Sun Microsystems, Applied Materials), where he led global projects focused on business strategy, process improvement, finance organization transformation, and Mergers and Acquisition Integration. In addition, he has hands on experience leading Finance teams responsible for forecasting and planning, revenue management, sales compensation, general accounting, and credit/collections. He is an expert in M&A integration, having led the teams responsible for integrating 70+ large and small companies.

Daryl holds a BS degree in Business Marketing and an MBA from San Jose State University.

Deepika Sandhu

Deepika is a Partner in Connor Group's Financial Operations (FinOps) practice. Deepika has more than 18 years of direct industry, management consulting and Big-4 experience business process improvement, financial operations and organizational effectiveness. Deepika has led numerous projects for high growth companies in the areas of close process optimization, public company readiness, internal controls and system implementations and optimizations, including implementations of close optimization software – Blackline.

Deepika also has significant experience in risk consulting, helping clients to quantify and pro-actively mitigate risks and assessing companies overall internal control effectiveness. Previously Deepika was a Senior Manager in the advisory practice of Grant Thornton LLP and the head of Business Process Improvement and Internal Controls at bebe Stores, Inc. Deepika was also a Senior Management Consultant with Deloitte & Touche.

Deepika completed a MSc in Local Economic Development from the London School of Economics and a Dual BA in Economics and International Relations from Scripps College.

Denis Kozhevnikov

Denis is a Partner in Connor Group's Technical Accounting and IPO Services practice and is a subject matter specialist in software revenue recognition; financial instruments; VIE consolidation, equity method and joint ventures accounting; business combinations; stock based compensation and EPS.

Denis is a former director at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Transaction Services, Accounting Advisory group (San Jose) where he provided technical accounting advice with regards to domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, IPO filings, implementation of new accounting standards (including implementation of new revenue recognition guidance for multiple-element arrangements, FAS 167, FAS 160 and FAS 157), and designed and instructed multiple trainings for clients and for PwC client service staff. Prior to joining their transaction services group in February 2008 Denis spent 10 years in PricewaterhouseCoopers audit practice in San Jose and Moscow (Russia) leading public and private company audits under US GAAS and International Auditing Standards.

Denis is a Certified Public Accountant in California and a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant in the United Kingdom. Denis graduated with honors from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology with a degree in applied mathematics and physics.He also has a Master in Financial Management degree from an international master program organized by University of Catania (Italy) and Erasmus University Rotterdam (Netherlands).

Dominick Kerr

Dom is a Director in Connor Group’s Technical Accounting and IPO Services practice. Dom provides guidance and analysis on a variety of technical accounting issues, assists clients with financial statement preparation and audit support, and provides guidance on industry best practices and internal process improvements. Dom has experience in a variety of industries including retail and consumer, technology, manufacturing and distribution, services, and logistics.

Prior to joining Connor Group, Dom spent ten years working at PwC, including two years as a technical accounting consultant in the Accounting Services Group of PwC’s National Office. While in the National Office, Dom consulted on a variety of technical accounting issues including debt and equity financing transactions, embedded derivatives, leasing, the statement of cash flows, foreign currency and private company accounting alternatives. Before his time in the National Office, Dom was a member of PwC’s Private Company Services assurance practice serving private equity backed enterprises, pre-IPO companies, and large family owned businesses in a variety of industries. He managed all aspects of audit and attest engagements including technical accounting research, financial statement preparation, internal controls assessments, and process improvement analysis.

Dom is a Certified Public Accountant (New York & New Jersey). He graduated with distinction from Hofstra University with an MBA in Accounting and graduated with distinction from the State University of New York College at Geneseo with a BS in Business Administration.

Iris Chan

Iris is a Partner in Connor Group’s Technical Accounting and IPO Services practice providing assistance on complex technical accounting issues, audit and IPO readiness and S-1 filing process. Iris has extensive experience in both US GAAP and IFRS with respect to different technical issues such as revenue recognition, business combinations, carve-outs, public and private financial statements and SEC filings.

Iris has over 16 years of experience in public practice, including ten years at PwC New York’s Entertainment, Media and Communication group. She worked with both private and public companies managing audits over financial statements and internal controls in numerous industries including publishing, media, technology and manufacturing. Iris has been instrumental in building Connor Group's New York practice since she joined the firm in 2013. She has also managed engagements for many of New York's most high-profile growth companies. As a partner, Iris' leadership roles will accelerate in continuing Connor Group's success as New York's premier technical accounting and IPO services firm.

Iris is a Certified Public Accountant (New York) and a Chartered Accountant from Canada. Iris graduated with honors from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Commerce (Accounting).

Jared Walker

Jared is a Partner in our Recruiting and Interim Staffing practice and manages all of Connor Group’s client relationships. Jared has successfully built the recruiting and staffing group into being a significant contributor to Connor Group and its many clients. Jared’s attention and dedication to his client’s needs coupled with his concern and interest for his network of candidates have allowed him to establish key long-term working relationships. His expertise is in all areas and positions of Finance and Accounting.

Prior to leading the Recruiting and Interim Staffing practice Jared managed many of Connor Group’s marquee clients including AMD, ArcSight, Codexis, Big Band Networks and BlueArc. He served as a project leader and technical advisor to the Controllers and VPs of Finance. On the majority of his projects he focused on financial statement and footnote drafting, stock-based compensation, audit preparation and establishing accounting policies.

Jared is a Certified Public Accountant and started his career with Ernst & Young in San Jose after graduating with a Masters in Accounting from Brigham Young University.

Jasmine Cheng

Jasmine is a Director at Connor Group serving in the Technical Accounting and IPO Services practice, providing assistance to clients with technical accounting issues and helping clients achieve IPO readiness. Jasmine has experience in working with financial instruments, equity, stock-based compensation, business combinations, revenue and financial statement preparation for private and public companies including S-1 filings.>/p>

Jasmine has over 11 years of accounting experience. Prior to working at Connor Group, Jasmine worked at Ernst & Young for eight years. She served both public and private multinational and small companies with a focus in the energy sector while also working on clients in various other industries. Jasmine began her career at Ernst & Young as an audit professional and transitioned into a role in Financial Advisory Accounting Services where she assisted clients with converting US GAAP financial statements to IFRS, policy preparation and providing consultations on business combinations and compensation arrangements including share-based payments.

Jasmine is a Chartered Professional Accountant of Alberta, Canada. Jasmine graduated at the top of her class with a Bachelors of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary.

Jason Pikoos

Jason is a Partner at Connor Group and leads the Financial Operations (FinOps) practice. Jason is an expert in helping clients drive business transformation and improve processes, systems, controls and organizational changes. Jason works across all finance functions helping clients define their business strategy and goals, setting up and deploying broad based process improvement initiatives for critical business process, assessing and advising on organizational structure, developing process dashboards including key operational and financial metrics, assessing working capital and cash flow management processes and reporting, and serving as the lead project manager for a variety of large global projects.

Jason was formerly a Director in the Project Management Office at McAfee and a Director at KPMG in its advisory practice. Jason also served as an auditor with Andersen, KPMG and PwC. During his career Jason has served clients such as Google, Polycom, VMware, Sony Picture Entertainment, Sun Microsystems, Hyperion and Johnson & Johnson.

Jason graduated from the University of Cape Town with Honors in Finance and Accounting.

Jeff Pickett

Jeff is CEO of Connor Group and the founder of the firm. Under Jeff's leadership and vision, Connor Group has grown into a premier global provider of high-quality technical accounting, financial operations and IPO services with clients in North America, Europe, Asia and South America.

Jeff has served as a lead or senior advisory partner for many of our clients, including public and private companies and private equity firms. In these roles, he has managed initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, IPO filings, and complex revenue recognition. He serves as an expert advisor to company executives and Board members on accounting and business operational matters.

Jeff is an industry leader and a subject matter expert in revenue recognition. He is a frequent presenter at nationwide seminars and expert panels, a contributor to published accounting articles and a guest lecturer at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business.

Jeff started his career as a Certified Public Accountant with Ernst & Young in Palo Alto after graduating in Accounting from Brigham Young University Magna Cum Laude.

Jesse Fillerup

Jesse is a Director in Connor Group’s Technical Accounting and IPO Services practice providing technical accounting guidance in all areas related to revenue recognition. Jesse assists clients in their efforts to construct and implement sound revenue recognition policies and practices. His areas of expertise include evaluation and adoption of ASC 606, creating revenue recognition policies, evaluating multiple-element arrangements, reviewing transactions, creating and analyzing VSOE & BESP studies, and providing training.

Prior to joining Connor Group, Jesse spent 14+ years working in public accounting and in industry at Sun Microsystems and Oracle. He spent the majority of his career in the revenue recognition groups at those companies managing teams, building relationships with auditors, and creating functional, auditable processes.

Jesse graduated cum laude from Brigham Young University holding both Bachelors and Masters degrees in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant in Colorado.

Jim Neesen

Jim is a Managing Partner at Connor Group. Jim is a business leader and entrepreneur with 20 years of experience in biotechnology and technology companies. He was on the management team at Fluidigm for seven years as a Director of Finance and Corporate Controller managing the Accounting and Finance groups and the S-1 filing in 2008. He was also the Finance Manager at Affymetrix for six years where he led the financial planning function during revenue growth from $10M to $200M and the 1996 IPO.

Jim has founded two companies, established complex international operations and closed over $150M in equity and venture debt financings. Jim is a former audit professional from Ernst & Young, where he worked on multiple IPO's and secondary offerings. He is a guest lecturer at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business on topics including revenue recognition and IPO readiness.

Jim graduated with a Master's degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business as a Sloan Fellow and graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a B.A in Economics.

Joanna Lynch

Jo is a Partner in Connor Group’s Technical Accounting and IPO Services practice assisting clients with resolution of complex technical accounting issues, audit and IPO readiness and S-1 filing process. Prior to joining Connor Group, Jo spent over six years as a senior manager in the Central European Area Capital Markets Group of Ernst & Young. She was a technical advisor and reviewer for companies going through the S-1 or F-1 filing process with the SEC as well as companies already listed on US exchanges. She also provided business, accounting, and reporting expertise to multi-national companies reporting under US and international accounting standards.

In addition, Jo is a former manager in the assurance and management advisory service practices of KPMG Silicon Valley. She worked with private and public companies in technology and other industries and managed audits over financial statements and internal controls.

Jo is a Certified Public Accountant (California) and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Jonathan Kearl

Jonathan is a Director in Connor Group’s Financial Operations practice. He has significant experience in finance transformation, business process improvement/ optimization, finance training and management reporting.

Before joining Connor Group, Jonathan was a Manager at KPMG in its advisory practice. During his career, Jonathan has gained strong project management experience leading global teams. He has a very diverse finance background including Finance/Management Consulting, Internal Audit and Tax.

Jonathan is a Certified Public Accountant (California) and graduated with his Master of Accountancy from Brigham Young University.

Laurie Marchand

Laurie is a Partner in Connor Group's Technical Accounting and IPO Services practice managing client engagements such as the implementation of the new revenue recognition guidance, strategic corporate transactions, IPO readiness and the S-1 filing process. Laurie typically serves as both a technical accounting advisor and project leader. She is an industry expert in revenue recognition, complex equity accounting and derivative and hedging accounting.

Laurie has served numerous clients including Intel, Apple, Infinera, Infoblox, Mirion Technologies, Business Objects, Cisco, Portal Software and Veritas. Laurie is a former audit senior manager at Ernst & Young where she spent 14 years leading IPO engagements, advising on revenue recognition and hedge accounting, completing carve-outs and performing audits over financial statements and internal controls.

Laurie is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated from University of Santa Barbara with a degree in Business and Accounting.

Maisha Wilson

Maisha is a Partner in Connor Group's Financial Operations (FinOps) practice.  Maisha brings over 20 years of experience in finance & accounting operations, finance strategy, business process improvement and organizational effectiveness. Maisha has led numerous high profile engagements related to finance function improvement, system implementations including NetSuite and Blackline, controls improvement and SOX, IPO readiness and organizational design.

Prior to joining Connor Group, Maisha worked for PricewaterhouseCoppers in the Banking, Real Estate and Leasing audit practice for 5 years. Maisha has held many senior finance/accounting roles responsible for key aspects of the global finance function. She has worked with both private and public companies in numerous industries including clean tech, software/SAAS and life sciences.

Maisha is a Certified Public Accountant (California-inactive) and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a BS degree in Business Administration.

Markham Bennett

Markham is Managing Director at Connor Group and one of the original Founders of the firm. He is a serial entrepreneur helping create, organize and manage companies from the ground up. He has passion and proven expertise in establishing the foundation and motivation for any company to build upon. Markham continues to thrive in all aspects of Connor Group specifically focused on business development, recruiting, people operations, and marketing.

Prior to Connor Group, Markham has helped start and build multiple software professional services firms, developing multiple multi-million dollar SAP, Oracle & PeopleSoft implementations across various industries. Markham has helped start or re-create four SaaS internet startups in both B2B and B2C spaces. He has the ability to persuade as well as see the good in people. This combination has been key to building a business critical partnership, landing a large sale or helping internal divisions see eye to eye, he can find common interests to meet all needs.

Markham graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations.

Melissa Nietzel

Melissa has been with Connor Group since October 2009. She is a Partner in the Technical Accounting and IPO Services practice managing client engagements such as IPO readiness, the S-1 filing process, preparation of Regulation S-X compliant financial statements and providing assistance on a variety of technical accounting issues. Melissa has experience in multiple industries, including technology, biotech, financial services and manufacturing.

Melissa was formerly a Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Transaction Services division (formerly the Global Capital Markets Group) practicing in several offices including San Francisco and Sydney, Australia where she provided technical accounting advice with regards to domestic and cross-border M&A transactions IPO filings, S-4 and Rule 144a filings. In addition, Melissa was a senior associate in the PwC audit assurance practice in Sacramento, California serving a variety of private and pre-IPO companies. During her career, Melissa has served numerous clients including Visa, Westpac Bank, Infoblox, A10 Networks, Arista Networks and ProNAi Therapeutics.

Melissa is active in the accounting profession. She is currently serving on the AICPA’s Uniform Accountancy Act committee and is a member of the California and Arizona Society of CPAs. Melissa is a Certified Public Accountant (California, Arizona and Massachusetts) and also holds the AICPA’s Chartered Global Management Accountant designation. Melissa graduated Summa Cum Laude with an Accounting degree from Valparaiso University.

Michael Broderick

Michael is a Director in Connor Group’s Technical Accounting and IPO Services practice providing assistance on complex technical accounting issues, IPO readiness and the S-1 filing process. Michael has over 20 years of industry and Big 4 experience in both US GAAP and IFRS companies managing teams to address issues such in revenue recognition, business combinations, carve-outs, public and private financial statements and SEC filings.

Previously Michael has worked for high tech companies such as Sun Microsystems, Brocade and Level 3 Communications. Michael began his career in public accounting, working for Arthur Andersen.

Michael is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and graduated from the University of Illinois with a BS in Finance.

Nancy Dobbs

Nancy Dobbs is the People Operations Director for Connor Group. She brings with her more than 15 years of experience in managing Human Capital and Operations/Resource Management in Big 4 public accounting, as well as prior experience in the insurance industry.

Prior to joining Connor Group Nancy worked for PwC as the Human Capital Manager of the Silicon Valley Pharma/Life Sciences external audit team. She also has had deep experience in domestic and international recruiting. This experience included working directly with local and multinational Partners, external hire Recruiting Managers as well as leading internal mobility efforts to identify qualified domestic and international candidates for the practice. In addition, Nancy has lead performance management processes, as well as developing and teaching a number of soft skills programs.

Nate Zobrist

Nate Zobrist is the CTO and CIO at Connor Group, leading software development and IT organizations within the firm. He brings over 15 years of software development and IT management experience to this role and is passionate about building world-class software and high-functioning teams. Nate leverages his drive to excel and proven expertise to establish technology as one of Connor Group’s strategic growth platforms.

Prior to joining Connor Group, Nate was VP of Architecture and Chief Scientist at Service Repair Solutions. His focus was on growing a global team which created innovative solutions, making Nate a key driver in expanding the product and patent portfolios for this industry-leading company. His experience with a variety of software start-ups and his deep technical knowledge provide an ideal foundation for Nate’s role in the growth and development of Connor Group.

Randa Ghantous

Randa is a Director in Connor Group’s Technical Accounting and IPO Services practice.

Randa has more than 20 years of experience with multinational companies reporting under US GAAP and IFRS. She also has expertise in SEC reporting, preparation of financial statements, carve-outs, and the resolution of complex technical accounting transactions including revenue recognition, business combinations, debt and equity financings, provisions, assets held for sale, impairment, and fixed assets. Randa has been involved in multiple IPO and other complex transaction engagements. Her clients included companies such as Ultragenyx, Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Aduro Biotech Inc., Invuity Inc., CytomX Therapeutics, Harris and others.

Prior to joining Connor Group, Randa spent nine years in the Accounting Policy group of Rio Tinto Alcan and her experience included the preparation of SEC filings, statutory and carve-out financial statements, and the resolution of technical accounting issues. In addition, Randa was an Audit Senior Manager at Ernst & Young with more than 10 years of experience in California and Greece where her primary responsibilities were the preparation of financial statements under US GAAP and IFRS as well as technical review of IFRS financial statements for Ernst & Young’s Southeast Europe offices.

Randa is a Certified Public Accountant (California) and graduated from Syracuse University with a B.S. in Accounting.

Ravi Kumar

Ravi is a Partner in Connor Group’s Technical Accounting and IPO Services practice providing technical accounting assistance on complex, structured transactions and helping clients achieve IPO readiness. Ravi has extensive experience in working with complex debt and equity transactions, consolidations, business combinations, leasing, revenue recognition (including ASC 606/IFRS 15), and public private partnerships (PPPs) under both US GAAP and IFRS.

Prior to joining Connor Group, Ravi was a Senior Manager in Ernst & Young’s Financial Accounting Advisory Services practice. Ravi’s career background includes cross-functional and multi-national Big-4 experience consisting of on-call technical accounting advice, new accounting standards implementation assistance, preparation of gap assessments between financial statements prepared under US GAAP and IFRS, financial due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, IPO readiness and financial statement and integrated audits for private and publicly-traded companies.

Ravi is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of California, a member of the AICPA, and has passed Level I of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exam.

Roxanne Brady

Roxanne is a Partner in Connor Group's Financial Operations (FinOps) practice and leads the Systems Services, with an emphasis on NetSuite, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, and Workday. Roxanne brings over 20 years’ experience in the Silicon Valley working with technology companies. Roxanne has led finance organizations in multiple industries including internet, software, biotechnology, and manufacturing. She has strong controllership and executive finance experience in fast paced, high growth environments.

 

As the leader of our Systems Services, Roxanne manages client engagements helping companies get the most out of all their finance systems including ERP, CRM, planning, and other financial tools. Roxanne also assist clients through introducing and improving business processes and preparing the finance organization for the public company environment, including the financial planning functions.

 

Prior to joining Connor Group, Roxanne was Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer for Glam Media, Inc. (now Mode), where she managed a global finance team and had particular success in global finance systems implementations. Prior to joining Glam Media, Roxanne was Chief Financial Officer of Business Engine, Inc. a global software company. Roxanne’s experience also includes over six years in the biotechnology industry and completion of an IPO. Roxanne started her career at Coopers & Lybrand in San Jose (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) and is a licensed CPA in California (inactive). She holds a B.S. in Accounting from Santa Clara University.

Sarah Jaochico

Sarah is a Director in Connor Group’s Technical Accounting and IPO Services practice primarily engaged in assisting clients resolve complex accounting issues, audit preparation and IPO readiness, including S-1 filing process. She has extensive experience with financial reporting process for public and non-public companies.

Prior to joining Connor Group, she worked as an audit professional at Ernst & Young for more than 10 years. Her international audit experiences include statutory and special audits, merger and spin-off audits, SEC reporting and compliance as well as resolution of technical accounting issues.

Sarah graduated from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines with a B.S. in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant in California.

Scott Janssen

Scott is a Managing Director at the Connor Group and the Silicon Valley Office Leader. Scott has over 20 years of industry, consulting and Big 4 audit experience in financial operations, accounting, strategy and financial and accounting process design and implementation. Scott has led projects at many growth stage companies, as well as many public companies, to provide them with improved financial controls and processes, increased efficiencies, risk assessments and financial planning. Scott’s unique combination of consulting, audit and operations allows him to serve our clients well as they embark on projects to improve their financial operations, controls and systems.

Previously Scott was the CFO of two biotechnology companies, Edeniq and Aemetis. Scott was also a technical accounting and financial operational consultant for three clients who planned and executed initial public offerings. Scott began his career in public accounting, working with both Ernst & Young and Grant Thornton.

Scott is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and graduated from UCLA with a BS in Applied Mathematics.

Sebastien Cuvelier

Sebastien is a Partner at Connor Group and co-leads the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) practice. He has extensive experience in buy and sell-side cross-functional due diligence, merger integration, carve-outs and divestitures, purchase and transition services agreement negotiations, post-close dispute resolution, financial analysis and modeling, process improvement, and cash planning and management. Sebastien has advised several of the Fortune 1000 and leading global private equity firms both domestically and internationally. He has broad M&A experience in a variety of industries including technology, software, telecommunications, consumer and industrial products.

Prior to joining Connor Group, Sebastien was a director in both PwC and EY’s deals practices in Boston. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Accountant in France.

Ursula Schorn

Ursula is a Partner in Connor Group's Financial Operations (FinOps) practice. Ursula has over 20 years of consulting, direct industry and Big-4 experience in finance & accounting, strategy, business process improvement, financial operations and organizational effectiveness. Ursula has led projects related to process optimization, finance transformation and performance management in an effort to improve performance, reduce inefficiencies, improve controls and enhance the overall operations of finance organizations.

Before joining Connor Group, Ursula was a consulting CFO with Ravix Group, working with early stage companies to guide all aspects of their finance function, including establishing accounting systems and processes to ensure the effectiveness of their organization’s controls, creating relevant metrics and associated analyses to provide more strategically valuable information to management. Prior to Ravix, Ursula worked for Sun Microsystems in a variety of management roles, including leading the global Program and Practice Management organization for the Finance function, responsible for assessing priorities, defining and implementing strategy and architecting solutions for key challenges facing the organization.

Ursula is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and began her career with Ernst & Young, providing auditing and consulting services to primarily high technology companies, including early stage start-ups and multi-billion dollar publicly held corporations. Ursula graduated with high honors from Texas A&M University with a degree in Accounting.
