Connor Group Goes to Las Vegas for SuiteWorld ’21

This year Oracle NetSuite’s annual conference, SuiteWorld, will take place in the brand-new Caesars forum in Las Vegas October 18 through 21. This year SuiteWorld ’21 will be a hybrid event with both in person and virtual On Air components. Connor Group has four speaking sessions, three in person and one virtual OnDemand. Our first in person speaking session on Tuesday, October 19th at 1:30pm PT, Ask Me Anything: Compliance and Controls, is an open Q&A session where Connor Group’s own Financial Operations Practice Leader, Jason Pikoos and Financial Operations Director, Amanda Barker will be featured as guest speakers. Our second in person speaking session on Tuesday, October 19th at 4:30pm PT, Technology Modernization: How Technology Enables Growth, will be led by Financial Operations Practice Leader, Jason Pikoos. Jason, alongside Latch Director, Steve Attanasio, will discuss how leveraging modern technologies will prepare companies, whether public or pre-IPO, for the next stage of growth. Participants will learn about important technologies to consider, how to get the most out of technology, and how to approach implementations for a successful outcome. Our third in person speaking session on Tuesday, October 19th at 4:30pm PT, Vendor Risk Management for SaaS Providers, will feature Financial Operations Director, Amanda Barker, alongside Oracle VP Compliance & Security, Brian Taylor, and they will explore third-party risk management (TPRM). Lastly, our OnDemand speaking session available as part of SuiteWorld ’21 On Air, The Competitive Advantages of a Successfully Implemented ERP, will be a fireside chat led by Financial Operations Director, Tyler Richtsmeier, and accompanied by Snagajob Internal Operations Project Manager, Dan Minahan. In this session, Tyler will chat with Dan about how his team gained access to better tools and streamlined their financial reporting segmentation by reimplementing NetSuite; it will be available OnDemand for the entire conference. Jason Pikoos

Jason is a Partner at Connor Group and leads the Financial Operations practice.

Jason brings 18 years of accounting and operational experience, working with high-growth and technology companies. As the Financial Operations Leader at Connor Group, he has helped and guided over 40 companies in preparing for being public, planning and managing their IPO plan, and/or improving operations and controls shortly after the IPO. Jason is an expert in helping clients drive business transformation through improved processes, systems, controls, and organizational changes. Jason focuses on high-growth and technology companies, where he works across all finance, accounting, and technology functions, helping clients define their business strategy/goals and aligning resources and stakeholders to achieve desired business objectives.

Jason was formerly a Director in the Project Management Office at McAfee and a Director at KPMG in its advisory practice. Jason also served as an auditor with Andersen, KPMG, and PwC. During his career, Jason has served clients such as Google, Polycom, VMware, Sony Picture Entertainment, Sun Microsystems, Hyperion, and Johnson & Johnson.

Jason graduated from the University of Cape Town with Honors in Finance and Accounting.


Amanda Barker
Director, Financial Operations

Amanda is a Director in Connor Group’s Financial Operations group. She is an experienced risk and controls professional with a deep understanding of the challenges clients face when implementing new financial applications or optimizing processes and controls. She’s an accountant who loves systems! She has helped numerous clients, from pre-IPO startups to established Fortune 100 companies, design, develop, and implement leading security and controls practices.

Prior to joining Connor Group, Amanda spent 10 years with PwC. She began her career as an IT Auditor and as a result, understands the technical requirements and challenges public companies must manage. Amanda spent the last 5 years developing deep technical knowledge of ERP systems, such as Oracle and NetSuite, and has helped companies going through ERP transformation programs develop security and controls programs that support an optimal future state.

Amanda is a CPA and earned her Master’s of Accounting and Bachelor’s degrees in Information Systems and Accounting from the University of Montana.


Tyler Richtsmeier
Director, Financial Operations

Tyler is a Director in Connor Group’s Financial Operations practice. He has significant experience implementing systems, processes, and controls in complex and fast-paced environments. Tyler is a critical thinker and understands the importance of effectively leveraging business applications.

Prior to joining Connor Group in New York, Tyler worked for Groupon as Manager of Financial Systems. Before Groupon, he worked for Honeywell in various accounting roles. Tyler graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.

Tyler is a leader in Connor Group’s NetSuite practice and holds several NetSuite certifications.
